In some areas of the Evans Road Fire, the amount of smoke from groundfire appears to be lessening (left side of photo),  while in many areas, groundfire continues to smolder, creep, and produce smoke.

Groundfire continues to burns throughout portions of the Evans Road Fire, creating the characteristic black smoke that has been evidenced far and wide.
