Today's Fire Activity
The Cascade Complex has been partitioned into Management Action Plans (MAPs) and resources are assigned to provide suppression protection to those areas. Consolidation of all transitioned resources will continue and emphasis will be the establishing a clear line of authority and safe working procedures.
The main Incident Command Post (ICP) is located approximately 1.5 miles from the intersection of Warm Lake road and Highway 55. A spike camp has been established at the Landmark airstrip.
Evacuations are still in place for Yellow Pine and Johnson Creek areas.
Tomorrows Planned Activity
Crews will continue to provide suppression protection of communities, structures and critical infrastructures to redirect or stop the spread of the fires. Point Protection measures include fuel reduction, sprinklers and extinguishing spot fires. Point Protection efforts have been extremely successful.
Other Important Messages
Area, road, and trail closures are in effect around the Cascade and Landmark Complex until further notice. More specific information may be obtained at the local Forest Service offices.
