Community "thank You"

September 4, 2006 To the Residents of Lake Cushman and Surrounding Communities; On behalf of all of the fire fighters who have participated in suppression of the Bear Gulch II fire over the past 7-plus weeks, I want to thank you all for your cooperation and support. Our priorities during this and all other incidents are protection of life, property and resources. In accomplishing those priorities, we also strive to keep the community informed of the situation and its ramifications. We have tried to do that while here with community meetings, daily printed updates, and through the website. We hope that combination of information sources have met the community s needs. I want to especially thank you for your words of appreciation to the fire fighters and for your continued expressions of concern for their safety.
