No Campfires Allowed on Cleveland National Forest

This decision is due to an extended Red Flag warning by the National Weather Service. If the Red Flag warning is extended further, this closure could remain in effect longer. The Trabuco, Palomar, and Descanso Ranger District campgrounds and picnic areas will remain open for use while under the red flag warning. Propane stoves and lanterns are still permitted on all three districts. Visitors are encouraged to check the forest's current weather and fire conditions before they go, by logging onto www.fs.fed.us/r5/cleveland and clicking on "current conditions" or by calling their local ranger district.
