Current Fire Situation: Five miles southeast of Lakehead, Calif. NorCal Team 1 (Swartzlander) assumed command of the fire at 6 p.m. on 9-8-08. The spread has been stopped and mop-up activities have begun.

Today's Objectives: Firefighters will continue to mop-up and repair firelines using hand crews, dozers, engines and aerial resources.

Evacuations: All evacuations and road closures have been lifted.

Remarks: We encourage forest visitors to be cautious when recreating on their National Forest lands, it is hot, dry and fire danger is very high.
