Current Situation: The fire is located approximately three miles north of the Utah temporary visitor's center on the Dinosaur National Monument. Fire behavior was minimal during the night and was limited to creeping, smoldering, and single tree and limited group tree torching in juniper, grass and sage.

Today's Objectives: Firefighters and one helicopter will work on the north and western flanks of the fire today to stop movement to the north and west. The fire is burning entirely within the Dinosaur National Monument boundaries. Minimum impact management techniques are being used to contain and confine the fire within the boundaries of the Monument.

Area Closures: None

Evacuations: There are no evacuation orders at this time.

Remarks: The fire may produce increased smoke during the heat of the day and may reduce visibility along the Island Park Road leading to Rainbow Park.
