Location: 45 miles east and south of Miles City, MT

Fire Size: Estimated at 7,311 acres for the complex

Incident Commander: Doug Williams, Type 3 IMT

Cause: Lightning on the evening of August 21.

Estimated Containment: 1900 hours, August 24, 2008

Resources on the Fire: 2 helicopters, 33 Wildland Engines, 6 Tenders, 6 Dozers, 2 Patrols, 38 Overhead

Total Personnel: 154

Cooperating Agencies: Numerous landowners are fighting the fire. Several Counties, MT DNRC and BLM.

Landownership: Private, State and BLM
