Cactus Fire Morning Update for July 23rd

Firefighters located and completely contained two small hot spots outside the containment line on the northeast corner of the Cactus Fire. Fire officials expect 100% containment today.
All remaining closures associated with the fire, including the Cactus Flats and Toll Mountain roads and the OHV connector route to Whiskey Gulch Trailhead have been lifted, effective today at 6:00 a.m.
Demobilization of excess resources continues.
Transfer of command from Rick Kusicko's Northern Rockies Type 2 Incident Management Team back to the local unit is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, July 24th.
Fire officials have determined that lightning caused the 518-acre fire, reported on July 19th.
