Thirty-two fires are 100% contained. The complex is 95% contained due to three fires in the wilderness area without confirmed locations that are uncontained. The Alaska Type 3 Team will continue to assist the Mad River Ranger District in closing out the fires. The portion of the Trough Fire, which spread into the Mad Complex area from the Shasta-Trinity National Forest's Lime Complex on Wednesday, is currently at 20 acres.
Today a Red Flag Warning remains in effect due to high temperatures and low relative humidity. Firefighters will continue to mop-up and patrol 300 feet inside containment lines.
