Incident: Trigo Fire

Continual Test Of Containment Lines By High Winds
Containment lines have been tested over the past couple of days and continue to hold well.
Containment means firefighters have completed a line around the fire by constructing line and using existing natural barriers to stop the fire's spread. Interior islands of unburned vegetation may exist and may produce torching and hot spots. As a result, the fire is not considered controlled.
A fire is only considered controlled when burning hot spots have cooled, and are not likely to jeopardize the lines. These barriers are expected to hold under the foreseeable conditions.
Tomorrow fire fighters focus their efforts on improving the lines, patrolling, mopping up and continuing to conduct rehabilitation work on dozer lines along the eastern edge of the fire boundary.
