Trigo Fire News Release

Trigo Fire Update 5.07.2008 08:00am

Incident: Trigo Fire Wildland Fire
Released: 5/7/2008

Yesterday, residents of Sherwood Forest were allowed to return to their community at approximately 12 noon. This completes the return for all residents back to their respective communities who were evacuated on April 30, 2008.

Today, a fire weather watch is issued which means gusty winds will be present for the majority of the day. This will test the southeast containment lines.

Smoke from hot spots and blackened whirlwinds filled with cold ash will be visible within the fire perimeter, this may cause some concern for the returning residents. Hand crews will continue heavy mop up and patrol the firelines.

Use extra caution while driving on roads due to heavy traffic from returning residents and fire personnel.
