Incident: Trigo Fire Wildland Fire

Telecommunications equipment on Capilla Peak was impacted by the fire on 4-30. Although some customers experienced immediate disruption when the equipment was damaged, most customers did not begin to experience service losses until later as backup generators ran out of fuel. As of Monday (5-5-08) service providers were able to refuel generators, inspect and assess damage, and begin repairs and restoration of services. Services disrupted include a variety of cellular telephone customers, paging (digital) services, some governmental communications services and a variety of Public Service communications providers.
