AREA CLOSURE
Pursuant to Title 36 Code of Federal Regulations 261.50 (a) and (b) the following restrictions are in effect on the Beartooth Ranger District, Custer National Forest. These restrictions are in addition to those enumerated in Subpart A, Part 261, Title 36, Code of Federal Regulations, and become effective 9:00 p.m. (noon) Mountain Daylight Time August 7, 2008 when signed and will remain in effect until rescinded.
36 CFR 261.52 - FIRE
All persons are prohibited from going into or being upon National Forest Service System Lands within the area described below, Title 36 CFR 261.52 (e):
Beginning in Section 2, T8S, R19E (West Fork Road #71 at Timber Crest Girl Scout Camp) going north and west through sections 28, 29 30 then just north of Bare Mountain, then going west and south to the junction of Red Lodge Creek Trail (Trail #14) and Senia Creek Trail (Trail # 13) then south near Grass Mountain to Sundance Pass, then going east to the trail junction of Beartrack (Trail # 9) and Silver Run Trail (Trail #64), then north along the Ingles Creek (Trail #36) Trail to Timber Crest Girl Scout Camp. (see attached map).
Exemptions:
Pursuant to Title 36 CFR 261.50 (e), the following are exempt from this order:
·1. Persons with a permit issued by a Forest Officer specifically authorizing prohibitive act;
·2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fighting force in the performance of an official duty.

Penalty:
Violations of these Prohibitions are punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. [16 U.S.C. 551, and 18 U.S.C. 3559 and 3571]
Notification:
A copy of this order shall be posted as prescribed under 36 CFR 261.51
