PROHIBITIONS: Pursuant to Title 36 CFR 261.50 (a) and (b) the following act is prohibited on trails as described in this order, all within the Pinedale Ranger District, Bridger-Teton National Forest until further notice.
- Being on a trail within the fire area (as described below). 36 CFR 261.55 (a)
EXEMPTIONS: Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (e), the following persons are exempt from this order:
- Persons with a permit specifically exempting them from the effect of this Order.
- Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
AREA DESCRIBED: The following Forest System Trails, or portions of trails, are closed, as described below and shown on the attached map:
- Spring Creek Park Trail #7166 (entire trail starting from Spring Creek Park Trailhead (T35N, R109W, SESE1/4, Sec 15) north to junction with Pine Creek Trail #7165 at Glimpse Lake (T36N, R108W, SENW 1/4, Sec 32).
- Pine Creek Trail #7165 (starting from junction with Long Lake Trail #7122 (T35N, R108W, SENE 1/4, Sec 5) north to Glimpse Lake at junction of Spring Creek Park Trail #7166, then north to Gottfried Lake (T36N, R108W, NENW 1/4 Sec 8).
- Trapper Creek Trail #7163 (entire trail starting from the end of Spring Creek Park Road #753 (T35N, R108W, Sec 12) north to junction with Section Corner Lake Trail #7130 near Trapper Lake (T36N, R109W, Sec 19).
- Long Lake Trail #7122 (entire trail starting from Long Lake Trailhead (T35N, R109W, Sec 16) north to junction with Pine Creek Trail #7165 (T35N, R108W, SENE 1/4, Sec 5) then south to inlet to Fremont Lake (T35N, R108W, NWNW 1/4, Sec 8).
- Section Corner Lake Trail #7130 (starting at west side of Trapper Lake (T36N, R108W, NWNW 1/4, Sec 20) west to Section Corner Lake (T36N, R108W, NWNW 1/4, Sec 19).
PURPOSE: The purpose of this order is to protect human life and provide for firefighter and public safety during firefighting and mop-up operations.
IMPLEMENTATION:
- This Order will be in effect when signed and shall remain in effect until further notice.
- A map identifying the trail closure is attached and made part of this Order.
- Any violation of this prohibition is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000.00 and/or imprisonment for not more than six (6) months. [Title 16 USC 551, Title 18 USC 3571(b)(6), Title 18 USC 3581 (b)(7)].
- This Order supersedes any previous orders prohibiting the same acts covered by this Order in the above-described area.
