Mad Complex Update

Incident: Mad Complex Wildfire
Released: 7/4/2008

Eureka - All fires in the Mad Complex have been contained, according to Incident Commander Tom Liba. Crews will continue mopping up and patrolling these contained fires. Liba expects the fires will be controlled by the end of next week. There are 384 personnel assigned to the complex.

Mad Complex - 3,705 acres. Total acreage for the Complex increased due to more accurate mapping of the Bonanza Fire.

Bonanza Fire -1370 acres and 100% contained.

Waterspout Fire -137 acres and 100% contained

Travis Fires -1,700 acres and 100 contained.

Lost Creek Fire - 50 acres and 100% contained.

Closures

Until further notice, some areas, roads and trails are closed due to the fires or fire fighting activities. Closure orders can be found at www.fs.fed.us/r5/sixrivers/conditions/.
