As of August 22, Park County has implemented a burn ban for all outdoor burning.

Currently, thunderstorms and gusty winds are developing in the vicinity of the fires and are expected into the evening.
North Eightmile: Crews are mopping up the ridgeline along the Gallatin Crest securing the fires perimeter to ensure it does not drop into Bozeman Creek drainage and the Bozeman Municpal water supply. North Eightmile saw light rain and hail this afternoon.
Horsetail: Crews are constructing indirect handline and creating a fuel break in the East Fork drainage. Personnel are brushing out from the trailhead with a chipper.
Sheep: Currently crews are constructing direct handline on the northwest side of the fires perimeter. Crews continue to mop up in the northeast corner and gridding the green in the southeastern perimeter where a spot fire is now out.
Emigrant: Firefighters are completing structure assessments for the Historic OTO Ranch and looking for opportunities to put in contingency lines on the northwest perimeter. Helicopters are being utilized for bucket drops on the west edge to keep the fire in check where firefighters are also constructing indirect and direct handline. On the northern perimeter, crews are constructing direct handline to tie into the western portion of the fire.
