Summary: The Indian Creek fire remained calm during the night. Today another red flag warning has been issued for high winds and dry lightning. The plan for today is for firefighters to continue to build and secure fireline and work on mopping up hotspots before the predicted high winds arrive.
The fire is burning grass and sage brush in steep terrain, and is moving towards the north and east. Local volunteer fire departments are providing structure protection and support on the fireline.
Area residents and visitors are being advised to limit their travel on Wisconsin Creek and Indian Creek roads due to high fire traffic activity and firefighting equipment on these roads.
With the current dry weather conditions, officials are advising people to be cautious with fire when recreating outdoors. Make sure your fire is completely out. Stay on designated roads and trails with your vehicles, and extinguish cigarettes completely.
