Incident Command Post Demobilization and Road Conditions Announcement
Incident: Forks Complex (includes Butler Fire ) Wildfire
Today Saturday Sept. 21 2013 personnel are being released rapidly from the Forks Complex as heavy rains continue. The Incident Command Post is being dismantled through Monday. The remaining fire suppression repair work will be completed by a Forest Type 4 Management Team when rains abate. Salmon River Road Traffic Control Discontinued
Traffic control measures on the Salmon River Road between Butler Flat and Nordheimer Campground will be discontinued this afternoon (Saturday 21 September 2013). Rocks fallen in the roadway have been reported. Precaution is advised.
Area Emergency Closure
The public is strongly encouraged to comply with the emergency closure order in the areas of the Butler and Salmon fires. Public safety is a prime objective. Wildfires create weakened trees that may fall as well as erosion and slide potential these hazards are increased by rain on soils devoid of vegetation.
