Southwest Oregon Air Quality Summary Report
Incident: Big Windy Complex Wildfire
Thursday, August 8, 2013
Yesterday, surface winds from the north brought elevated levels of smoke into the Ashland area, while the Rogue River Valley closer to the Big Windy Complex (Grants Pass, Glendale and Merlin) saw levels in the Very Unhealthy to Hazardous categories early to mid-afternoon. Fortunately, some rainfall with associated breezy conditions cleared out the valley considerably in the evening.
