100 Percent Containment on Fairfield Fire
Incident: Fairfield Fire Wildfire
Lander, WY. (July 29, 2013) – The Sinks Canyon Road has opened for public travel. For safety reasons, the north side of the canyon will remain closed to all activity from the entrance of Sinks Canyon State Park to Fossil Hill. The area to the south of Sinks Canyon Road is open for public use, with the exception of the Bruces parking area and corrals. The entire fire area, as well as Bruces parking area and corrals, remains closed as firefighters continue their work.
The fire is 100% contained. Acreage is at 1,335. One hand crew, two engines and one helicopter will be on the fire July 29, 2013. Resources will be patrolling the fire and repairing dozer lines.
