Summary: Overnight containment remained at 80% with no expansion of the fire. Due to more accurate data the acreage has been reduced to 3,781 acres. Fire crews will continue with hotspot patrol and fireline construction today and will continue until the fire is contained. A Burn Area Emergency Response (BAER) team is now on scene. BAER teams are staffed by specially trained professionals who evaluate the burned area and propose treatments to minimize the effects of the fire. Additionally, the process has started to eliminate some of the resource impacts caused by fire suppression efforts. The goal is to return the area to as a natural condition as possible.
Road & Trail Closures / Evacuations: There are no road closures or evacuations in the fire area, However users of the Vivian Creek Trail may be impacted by occasional smoke.
Predicted Weather: The Incident Meteorologist forecasts temperatures ranging in the mid eighties with humidity in the teens; winds will be from the southwest with gusts up to 30 mph.
