Temporary Closure for Soldier Basin Fire
Incident: Soldier Basin Fire Wildfire
Area Closed for Public Safety During Fire Suppression Operations
Tucson, AZ (May 23, 2013) – A portion of the Sierra Vista Ranger District, Coronado National Forest, will be temporarily closed in the vicinity of the Soldier Basin Fire.
The following are prohibited:
1. Entering or using Soldier Basin Area north to Flux Canyon, as shown on the attached map.
2. Being on Forest Service Road (FSR) 4681, FSR 4698, FSR 4659, FSR 235, FSR 215, FSR 812, and/or FSR 49 and routes therein as shown on the attached map.
The area is temporarily closed to allow for public safety in the Soldier Basin area north to Flux Canyon during emergency fire suppression operations.
The area will remain closed until May 31, 2013 or until the order is rescinded, whichever is earlier.
Any violation of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000.00 for individuals, $10,000.00 for organizations and/or imprisonment for not more than six months.
