Prescribed Burning to Continue in Five Lakes Area Feb 4
Incident: Red Cedar Reduction Prescribed Fire

Fire managers treated approximately 170 acres additional acres with prescribed fire in the Five Lakes area on February 3. Fire managers plan to continue burning in the Five Lakes area, west of Five Lakes and Cedar Blue, on February 4. Ignitions are anticipated to begin mid-afternoon and may continue throughout the evening. Southwest winds are predicted for Monday morning, shifting to the north early in the afternoon, which may move smoke to the south during the burn.
