For the prevention of wildfires, no open fires are allowed except in designated recreation sites listed in this Order. The Sky Lakes Wilderness and Rogue Umpqua Divide Wilderness are exempt from this order. Smoking is prohibited except within an enclosed vehicle or building, a designated recreation site listed in the Order, or while stopped in an area clear of debris and flammable materials, or while aboard a watercraft on a waterway. It is prohibited to operate an internal combustion engine except a motor vehicle on Forest Development Roads or within designated parking areas. Recreational dredges may be used if operated in the middle of a stream and remain in the water for at least one hour after shut down and are never left unattended during operation. Dredges must have a certified spark arrester and must shut down by 1:00 p.m.
