Emergency Fire Closure on The Kaibab National Forest

The area of the Eagle Rock Fire and the surrounding area is closed to entry by the public. Residents will be able to access their homes. This order is necessary to protect public health and safety due to ongoing wildfire and fire suppression activities on the Eagle Rock Fire.

AREA DESCRIPTION:

This Order applies to National Forest System lands, roads and trails within the vicinity of Sitgreaves Mountain and Spring Valley. The eastern boundary of the closed area can be described as Forest Road 141 from Forest Road 785 (Curry Tank) north to the junction of Forest Road 141 and Forest Road 194, continuing north along Forest Road 194 to the junction of Forest Road 194 and Forest Road 171. The northern boundary of the closed area is Forest Road 171 west to Forest Road 144. From the junction of Forest Road 171 and Forest Road 144, south to the junction of Forest Road 144 and Forest Road 141, the northern boundary continues west along Forest Road 141 to the junction of Forest Road 141 and Forest Road 74, then south on Forest Road 74 to the junction of Forest Road 74 and the El Paso Natural Gas Pipeline. The southern boundary is the El Paso Natural Gas Pipeline east to the junction of the El Paso Natural Gas Pipeline and Forest Road 76, then northeast along Forest Road 74 to the junction of Forest Road 74 and Forest Road 785, then east along Forest Road 785 to the junction of Forest Road 785 and Forest Road 141.

IMPLEMENTATION:

·1. This Order will be in effect when signed and shall remain in effect until July 17, 2010 or until rescinded, which ever occurs first.

·2. This Order rescinds, replaces and supersedes any previous Orders prohibiting the same acts covered by this Order in that area addressed in Exhibit A
