The Eagle Rock Fire was detected by the Kendrick Mountain lookout this morning. Residences in the Spring Valley area have been evacuated. The cause is unknown. The high winds and low relative humidity are making fire suppression activities difficult. There are approximately 250 fire personnel assigned to the incident. Some progress has been made early this evening on the spot fires on the east side of County Road 141. Resources continue to arrive and the Northern Arizona Type-2 Incident Management Team will be managing the fire suppression activities.
