Eagle Rock Fire on Kaibab National Forest WILLIAMS, Ariz. -
Kaibab National Forest fire crews are responding to a new fire located 11 miles northeast of Williams and east of Sitgreaves Mountain. The Eagle Rock Fire was detected by the Kendrick Mountain lookout this morning. It is approximately 30 acres. The cause is unknown. Fire behavior is reported as running, torching and spotting. Multiple resources have been ordered and are enroute, including air tankers, engines, water tenders and crews. The fire is moving in a northeasterly direction. There is a red flag warning in effect today. Winds are predicted at 20 to 30 miles miles per hour.
