Noble Fire Quiets Overnight

Incident: Noble Fire Wildfire
Released: 9/15/2009

Cool temperatures and higher humidities moderated fire activity for the Noble Fire overnight. Firefighters report that much of the fire's perimeter is secure, though they stopped short of calling the blaze even partially contained. There are still areas of active fire in the interior areas of the fire.

Today's weather forecast calls for continued warm temperatures and breezy conditions, with north winds at 3-6 mph.

This morning, the Lewis & Clark County Undersheriff planned to re-open roads and lift the evacuation orders for affected residents. Residents are advised to remain prepared to leave if the weather and subsequent fire activity make it necessary.
