Tentative Prescribed Fire Plans for The Week of October 26

Pending favorable conditions, fire managers are planning prescribed fires on the following projects for the week of October 26.

All prescribed fire activity is dependent on personnel availability, weather - including ventilation conditions, and approval from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (http://www.azdeq.gov/).

Monday, October 26

Blue Ridge Urban Interface (BRUI) Project - Approximately 650 acres north of Highway 87, between the Pine Canyon Subdivision and the Clear Creek Pines Subdivision. Crews are expecting a south wind, which will move smoke northerly away from the highway. Some residual smoke may settle in the immediate area overnight.

Projects crews will consider for the remainder of the week: ·Projects may not all be accomplished depending on conditions·

Continuing the BRUI Project

East Clear Creek Project near Knoll Lake and Forest Road 300 ("Rim Road")

Lake Mary Project South of Lower Lake Mary near Lake Mary Meadows

Anderson Mesa Project East of Forest Highway 3 (Lake Mary Road), north of Ashurst Lake

Mint Project Off FH3 (Lake Mary Rd) near Mormon Lake Village

Eastside Project East of Continental Country Club near Old Walnut Canyon Road

Pete Project North of the San Francisco Peaks, west of Highway 89

Ft Valley Project East of Snowbowl Road in the Chimney Springs area
