Station Fire Announcement

Evacuations Have Changeed. Please Call 211 for Additional Information

Incident: Station Fire Wildfire
Released: 9/2/2009

At approximately 04:00, Wednesday morning, the L.A. County Sherriff's Department ordered the evacuation of 15 to 20 residences in the Dillon Divide Area. The residents were told to evacuate their homes before 0:700. Dillon Divide is located 6 miles north of Highway 210 on Little Tujunga Canyon Road. A shelter was established at the Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita.

Evacuations were necessary when strong down slope winds caused a significant increase in fire behavior. Operations Chief, Don Will ordered the all resources off the fire line (division F) when fire behavior became erratic.

Fire conditions on the Station Fire are constantly changing. Be sure to check for changes in evacuations by dialing 211.
