Summary
The Morris Fire began at approximately 4:27 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 in the San Gabriel Canyon just north of Azusa California. The fire is 85% percent contained with moderate fire activity north and east in San Gabriel Canyon. A red flag warning is still in effect through today. As excess resources are identified they are being released to assist in other firefighting efforts in southern California.
