Temporary Roads Closure-Knight Fire
Stanislaus National Forest
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(b), and to provide for public safety, the following acts are prohibited within the Mi-Wuk Ranger District of the Stanislaus National Forest. This order is effective from August 4, 2009 through September 30, 2009.
·1. Being on Forest Road 4N16 from its intersection with Forest Road 2N63 (Italian Bar Road), to its intersection with Forest Road 4N01 as shown on the attached Map. 36 CFR 261.54(e).
·2. Being on Forest Road 4N17 from its intersection with 2N63 (Italian Bar County Road) to its intersection with 4N16, as shown on the attached map. 36CFR 261.54(e).
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:
·3. Persons with a permit from the Forest Service specifically authorized the otherwise prohibited act or omission.
·4. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibition in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.

A violation of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine or not more than $5,000.00 for an individual or $10,000.00 for an organization or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. 16 USC 551 and 18 USC 3559, 3571 and 3581.
