Incident: Dunn Mountain Wildfire

Location: 15 miles southeast of Roundup, MT

Fire Size: Estimated at 61,000 acres as of 9 am on Aug. 28

Incident Commander: Doug Williams, Type 3 IMT and Phil Ehlers, IC Shepherd VFD

Cause: Natural causes

Estimated Containment: 09/05/08

Resources on the Fire: 3 helicopters, 21 Wildland Engines, 3 Tenders, 1 Type 2 Handcrew, 3 Dozers, 2 Patrols, Overhead. More resources on order (Aug. 28)

Total Personnel: 114

Cooperating Agencies: Several Counties, MT DNRC and BLM.

Landownership: Private, State and BLM

Road Closure: CA Road closed north of Shepherd Ah-Nei recreation area. Shepherd Ah-Nei Recreation Area closed.

Bridge Out: Bridge at Railroad Creek Road is out. Cause is undetermined at this time.

Damage / Loss: Some livestock loss. Significant loss of stacked hay.
