Whitebark Fire Now Involves 3 Acres

Incident: Whitebark Prescribed Fire

The Whitebark fire now has burned three acres. A Forest Service observer reported Monday (August 25) that the fire was burning on both sides of the ridge now. The fire was judged to have little potential to spread farther east, but could possibly burn farther west. Open flame was seen on both sides of the ridge.

Officials will continue to monitor the fire.
