FIRE ACTIVITY SUMMARY Yesterday's suppression efforts significantly held the majority of the

fire. Cooler temperatures and light precipitation assisted the suppression efforts. Today's weather is

expected to be similar to yesterdays with increasing winds. Fire crews are constructing additional

line and improving existing line in the west, north and east portions of the fire prohibiting further fire

spread onto the private lands. Islands of fuel will continue to burn within the perimeter of the fire.

assigned to the fire.

EXPECTED DATE OF CONTAINMENT: August 25, 2008.

WEATHER: An upper level low pressure system will move into the area today and linger over the

fire. This will result in cooler temperatures, higher relative humidity; gusty winds and chance of
