Pump Station Fire Closes Game Range Access
DILLON, MONT., August 1, 2008, 6:30PM - Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) have closed loop road 447 which runs through the Fleecer Mountain Wildlife Management Area near Divide, Montana. The road closure was initiated late Friday afternoon because the Pump Station Fire is burning just west of the game range. FWP spokesperson Vana Boccadori, said the road was close to protect the public, and will be re-opened as soon as public safety is no longer a concern.
As of Friday evening about 40 % of the fire was contained. No containment or control time lines are projected.
