PROHIBITIONS: Pursuant to Title 36 CFR 261.50 (a) and (b) the following act is prohibited on the area, roads, and trails as described in this order, all within the Pinedale Ranger District, Bridger-Teton National Forest until further notice.
- Going into or being upon the Fire area (as described below). 36 CFR 261.52 (e).
- Being on a trail within the fire area (as described below). 36 CFR 261.55 (a).
- Being on a road within the Fire area (as described below). 36 CFR 261.54 (e).
EXEMPTIONS: Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (e), the following persons are exempt from this order:
- Persons with a permit specifically exempting them from the effect of this Order.
- Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
AREA DESCRIBED: National Forest System lands as shown on the attached map.
New Fork Fire Closure Area - Including all roads and trails within this area from a point beginning at the junction of the Bridger Wilderness Boundary and Pine Creek located within Township 35 North, Range 108 West, NE ¼ Section 8, then southeasterly along the administrative Bridger Wilderness boundary approximately 4 miles to the junction of the administrative Bridger Wilderness boundary and the Pole Creek Trail #119 located within Township 35 North, Range 108 West, NW ¼ Section 14, then continuing northeasterly along the Pole Creek Trail #119, excluding Pole Creek Trail #119 approximately 3 miles to the junction of the Pole Creek Trail #119 and the Seneca Lake Trail #123 (Eklund Lake) located in Township 35 North, Range 107 West, NE ¼ Section 7, then northerly along the Seneca Lake Trail #123 approximately 3 miles, excluding Seneca Lake Trail #123 to the junction of the Seneca Lake Trail #123 and the Lost Lake Trail located within Township 36 North, Range 107 West, NW ¼ Section 29, then northerly along the Lost Lake Trail approximately 2 miles, excluding Lost Lake Trail to Lost Lake to the junction with Moya Canyon located within Township 36 North, Range 107 West, SE ¼ Section 18, then northwesterly along the Moya Creek approximately 2.5 miles to the junction of Moya Creek and the section line between Sections 1 and 12 located within Township 36 North, Range 108 West, then continuing westerly along the section line approximately 2 miles to the junction of southern shore of Pass Lake and Gunsight Pass located in Township 36 North, Range 108 West, SW ¼ Section 3, then northerly along the western shore of Pass Lake approximately 0.5 miles to the junction with the Highline Trail #094 located within Township 36 North, Range 108 West, SW ¼ Section 3, then northeasterly along Highline Trail #094 approximately 4.5 miles, excluding the Highline Trail #094 to the junction with Clark Creek Trail #185 (aka Trail Creek Park) located in Township 37 North, Range 108 West, NW ¼ Section 18, then westerly along Clark Creek Trail #185 approximately 5.5 miles, excluding Clark Creek Trail #185 to the junction with the New Fork Porcupine Trail #137 within Township 37 North, Range 109 West, NE ¼ Section 17, then southerly along New Fork Porcupine Trail #137 approximately 0.5 miles to the junction with the section line between Sections 17 and 20 located within Township 37 North, Range 109 West, then westerly along the section line approximately 5.5 miles to the junction with the Bridger Wilderness boundary and Kim Rush Park located within Township 37 North, Range 110 West, SW ¼ Section 16, then southerly, then easterly, then southerly along the Bridger Wilderness boundary approximately 5.0 miles to the junction of New Fork Porcupine Trail #137 and the Bridger shore of New Fork Lake located within Township 36 North, Range 110 West, SW ¼ Section 12, then northeasterly along the north shore of New Fork Lake approximately 1.0 mile to the east shore located within Township 36 North, Range 109 West, NW ¼ Section 7, then southerly along east shore of New Fork Lake approximately 0.5 mile to the south shore located within Township 36 North, Range 109 West, SENW ¼ Section 7, then southwesterly along the south shore of New Fork Lake approximately 2.5 mile to junction of the south shore of New Fork Lake and section line between section 14 and 23 located at Township 36 North, Range 110 West, then easterly along section line approximately 3 miles to the junction with Double Top Mountain Trail #131/Willow Creek located within Township 36 North, Range 109 West, SW ¼ Section 17 then southerly along Willow Creek approximately 1.5 mile to the junction with the Willow Creek and Bridger-Teton National Forest administrative boundary located within Township 36 North, Range 109 West, SENE ¼ Section 30, then easterly, then southerly, then easterly, then southerly, then westerly, then southerly along the Bridger-Teton National Forest administrative boundary approximately 6.0 miles to the junction with Willow Lake shore located within Township 35 North, Range 109 West, SWNW ¼ Section 17, then easterly, then northeasterly approximately 4.0 miles along the north shore of Willow Lake to the east shore, then southeasterly approximately 0.5 miles along the east shore of Willow Lake, then southeasterly approximately 4.0 miles to junction of the south shore of Willow Lake and section line between section 19 and 20 located at Township 35 North, Range 109 West, NWSW ¼ Section 20, the southeasterly along Forest Service Road #751 approximately 1.0 mile, excluding FS road #751 to the junction of Bridger-Teton National Forest administrative boundary located within Township 35 North, Range 109 West, SESE ¼ Section 20, then easterly along the Bridger-Teton National Forest administrative boundary approximately 2.5 miles to the corner of the Bridger-Teton National Forest administrative boundary located on the section line between sections 23 and 26 located within Township 35 North, Range 109 West, then easterly along section approximately 2.0 miles to east shore of Fremont Lake located within Township 35 North, Range 108 West, SESW ¼ Section 19, then northerly along Fremont Lake shore approximately 3.5 miles to the point of beginning, Boise Meridian.
The above described area is within the proclaimed and administrative boundaries of the Pinedale Ranger District, Bridger-Teton National Forest, Sublette County, Wyoming.
Note: unless a fire area perimeter road or trail is described above as excluded from the fire area, all roads and trails within the area boundary as described above are closed to public use.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this order is to protect human life and provide for firefighter and public safety during firefighting and mop-up operations.
IMPLEMENTATION:
- This Order will be in effect when signed and shall remain in effect until further notice.
- A map identifying the closure area is attached and made part of this Order.
- Any violation of this prohibition is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000.00 and/or imprisonment for not more than six (6) months. [Title 16 USC 551, Title 18 USC 3571(b)(6), Title 18 USC 3581 (b)(7)].
- This Order supersedes any previous orders prohibiting the same acts covered by this Order in the above-described area.
