Incident: Cub Complex Wildfire

The southwest portion of the Cub Fire made a 2.5 mile run in six hours late on Tuesday, July 8th, and is now in the Rattleesnake Creek Drainage. The Cub Fire is approximately 4 miles north of Jonesville. A Red Flag Warning is in effect. Extreme fire behavior is expected.
On Tuesday, July 8, at approximately 11 p.m., the Butte County Sheriff's Office issued an immediate threat evacuation order for Jonesville, Butte Meadows, the Scout Camp and Humboldt Road to the intersection with Highway 32, as well as all tributary roads.
An "Immediate Threat Evacuation" is issued when the fire is moving toward an area and there is an immediate threat to life and property. Whenever an area is under "Immediate Threat," all roads in the area will be closed to incoming traffic.
