Yolla Bolly Complex Announcement

Smoke Conditions Improve Over The Fire.

Incident: Yolla Bolly Complex Wildfire
Released: 7/26/2008

Smoke conditions improved somewhat over the Yellow Fire this morning. The change in the amount of smoke in the sky was enough to allow the use of aviation resources. Air Attack began utilizing the helicopters assigned to the fire at about 10:30 this morning.

The ability to support the crews on the line with water drops greatly increases the effectiveness of the suppression efforts. Clearing skies can also lead to increased fire behavior.
