Mad Complex Update

Eureka - Crews continue to make progress in the Mad Complex. There are 361 personnel assigned to the complex. Eight fires are still not staffed and 26 fires are 100% contained.

Mad Complex - 2,700 acres and 50% contained.

Bonanza Fire -370 acres and 70% contained.

Waterspout Fire -137 acres and 90% contained

Travis Fires -1,700 acres and 90% contained.

Lost Creek Fire - 50 acres and 90% contained.

Closures

Until further notice, some areas, roads and trails are closed due to the fires or fire fighting activities. Closure orders can be found at www.fs.fed.us/r5/sixrivers/conditions/.

For current information on highway road closures, contact Cal Trans at 1-800-427-7623.

Reminder - With the 4th of July holiday approaching, please remember that fireworks are prohibited on National Forest System Lands, as well as in National and State Parks.
