Incident: Evans Road Wildfire
Released: 6/7/2008

Rudy Whitehurst, Air Quality, NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources, advises the public to be aware of smoke from wildland fires, as they may cause serious health risks, especially for the very young, aged, and those with lung or heart disease.

At least for the next several months, people should pay close attention to the wind direction and plan their outdoor activities accordingly. See map associated with this notice.
