Antelope Complex Fire

Health and Safety Area Closure

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(a) and (b), and to protect public safety, the following acts are prohibited within the Antelope Complex Fire Area of the Plumas National Forest. This order is effective from September 19, 2007, through January 7, 2008.

·1. Going into or being upon National Forest System lands within the Antelope Complex Fire Closure Area. The Closure Area begins north of Antelope Lake at the Boulder Creek Work Center and Forest Road 29N43; then north along Forest Road 29N43 to its intersection with Forest Road 27N46; then east and then southeast along Forest Road 27N46 to its intersection with Forest Road 27N61; then east along Forest Road 27N61 to its intersection with Forest Road 27N60; then east along Forest Road 27N60 to its intersection with Forest Road 27N35; then east along Forest Road 27N35 to its intersection with Forest Road 27N04; then south along Forest Road 27N04 to its intersection with Forest Road 28N01; then south along Forest Road 28N01 to its intersection with Forest Road 27N25; then south along Forest Road 27N25 to its intersection with Forest Road 28N03; then west along 28N03 to its intersection with Forest Road 28N01; then south along Forest Road 28N01 to its intersection with Forest Road 25N07; then west along Forest Road 25N07 to its intersection with Forest Road 26N46; then southwest along Forest Road 26N46 to its intersection with Forest Road 26N99; then west along Forest Road 26N99 to its intersection with Forest Road 26N46; then west along Forest Road 26N46 to its intersection with Forest Road 26N10; then north along Forest Road 26N10 to its intersection with Forest Road 29N43; then south along Forest Road 29N43 to its intersection with Forest Road 27N09; then north along Forest Road 27N09 to its intersection with Forest Road 27N07; then north along Forest Road 27N07 to its intersection with Forest Road 28N03; then northeast along Forest Road 28N03 to its intersection with Forest Road 29N43; then southeast along 29N43 to the Boulder Creek Work Center, as shown on attached map.

·2. Being on any National Forest System road within the Antelope Complex Fire Closure Area, except Forest Roads 29N43, 27N41, 28N03, and 28N01. 36 CFR 261.54(e).

·3. Being on any National Forest System trail within the Antelope Complex Fire Closure Area. 36 CFR 261.55(a).

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:

·1. Persons with a permit from the Forest Service specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.

·2. Owners or lessees of land in the closure area to the extent necessary to gain access to their land.

·3. Persons who reside in the closure area to the extent necessary to gain access to their residences.

·4. Any Federal, State, or local officer or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.

These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions found in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.

A violation of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. 16 USC 551 and 18 USC 3559, 3571, and 3581.

This order supercedes order No. 09-07 dated September 13, 2007.
