The East Zone Complex is being managed by Incident Commander Aaron Gelobter and the Boise National Incident Management Team.
This will be the final East Zone Complex Fire Information Update unless fire conditions change within the fire area. The public may expect to see occasional smoke from hot spots within the perimeter or torching trees until additional rain saturates the ground and larger fuels.
The East Zone Complex Base Camp on Lake Fork Road has been closed. However, cleanup will continue for a couple of days, as equipment and supplies are being collected and returned to the fire caches in Boise and McCall. Remaining resources will continue to patrol the road system within the fire area, collecting equipment, pumps, and hoses. Crews will continue to rehab and repair any road damage. All fire restrictions have been lifted for the Payette, Boise and Sawtooth National Forests.
Fire and forest managers also revised the area and road closures for the East Zone Complex on Friday, September 21 and the following roads reopened to the general public:
·§ Lick Creek Road is now open to Yellow Pine and Big Creek.
·§ Warren Wagon Road is open up to Warren Summit.
·§ Forest Road #355 is open from Warren Summit to Burgdorf Summit and Smith Knob.
·§ Warren Wagon Road is still closed from Warren Summit to Big Creek. Only property owners may enter this part of the area closure.
·§ A part of the Payette National Forest is still closed south from Smith Knob toYellow Pine and east from Warren Summit to Big Creek.
·§ The public should be cautioned that these road openings could be rescinded at any time should there be any change in fire conditions.

Acreage/ containment: Total complex: 300,022 acres. Horton Fire: 1,408 acres, Zena/Loon Fire: 215,454 acres, Raines Fire: 78,604 acres and Profile Fire 4,556 acres. Containment is expected for September 30.
Values at Risk/Structures Lost: Currently, no structures remain threatened on the East Zone Complex. A total of 13 structures have been lost (6 residences and 7 outbuildings).

Today's Plans:·§ Patrol roads to Burgdorf, South Fork, Elk Creek, and Big Creek; install equipment as needed to keep roads open.
·§ Pull fire hoses and rehab suppression lines in the Loon Lake, Profile Gap, and Secesh to Ruby meadows areas.
Continue to work along forest roads clearing debris and hazard trees to make them safe once they reopen.
Fire Weather: The high pressure ridge is breaking down as a low pressure system to the south and a trough to the northwest approach. Both systems merge over Idaho late this afternoon through Sunday, bring heavy rain and snow to the East Zone Complex. High pressure ridge rebuilding Monday for a temporary drying and warming trend with another cold, wet storm impacting the fire area Wednesday night and Thursday. A flash flood watch has been issued today from 1:00 p.m. until 12:00 noon on Sunday. Temperatures today are 54 degrees ridges and 65 degrees in the valleys.
Fire Behavior:The public may expect to see occasional smoke or torching trees until additional rain saturates the fire area.
No perimeter growth is expected.
