ZENA/ LOON FIRE COMPLEX TRAIL AND AREA CLOSURE (For public Safety)
PROHIBITIONS:
Pursuant to Title 36 CFR 261.50 (a) and (b) the following acts are prohibited on the area, roads and trails as described in this order, all within administrative and proclaimed boundaries of the Krassel and McCall Ranger Districts, Payette National Forest until further notice.
- Going into or being in the Fire Area (as described below). 36 CFR 261.53(e)
- Being on a trail. 36 CFR 216.55(a)
- Being on a road. 36 CFR 261.54(e)
EXEMPTIONS:
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.60 (e) the following persons are exempt from this order:
- Persons with a permit specifically exempting them from the effect of this order.
- Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
- Federal or State administrative personnel in the performance of an official duty.

Zena/Loon Fire Complex Area - From the point of origin at the junction of National Forest System (NFS) Road #673(also known as Three Mile Road) and NFS Road #412(also known as Lick Creek Road) in Township 20 North, Range 6 East, Section 24, then northwesterly along, but not including, NFS Road #412 approximately 6 miles to the junction with NFS Trail #081 in Township 20 North, Range 5 East, Section 13, then
northerly along NFS Trail #081 approximately 0.5 miles to the junction with NFS Trail #082 in Township 20 North, Range 5 East, Section 12, then westerly along NFS Trail #082 approximately 7 miles to the junction with NFS Trail #083 in Township 20 North, Range 4 East, Section 13, then southwesterly along, but not including, NFS Trail #083 approximately 1 mile to the ridgeline in Township 20 North, Range 4 East, Section 23, then northeasterly along the ridgeline, south of Twentymile Lakes and over Victor Peak, approximately 10 miles to the junction with NFS Trail #081 in Township 21 North, Range 5 East, Section 3, then northeasterly along NFS Trail #081 approximately 2 miles to the junction with NFS Trail #080, at Chinook Campground, in Township 22 North, Range 5 East, Section 26, then southerly along NFS Trail #080 approximately 4 miles to the junction with NFS Trail #129 in Township 21 North, Range 5 East, Section 11, then easterly along NFS Trail #129 approximately 4 miles to the junction with NFS Trail #128 in Township 21 North, Range 6 East, Section 9, then southeasterly along NFS Trail #128 and the District boundary, between the Krassel and McCall Ranger Districts, approximately 8 miles to the junction with NFS Trail #077 in Township 20 North, Range 7 East, Section 5, then southerly along NFS Trail #077 approximately 3 miles to the junction with NFS Trail #076 in Township 20 North, Range 7 East, Section 20, then southwesterly along NFS Trail #076 approximately 2 miles to the junction with NFS Road #673 in Township 20 North, Range 6 East, Section 25, then southwesterly along NFS Road #673 approximately 3 miles to the point of origin at the junction with NFS Road #412 in Township 20 North, Range 6 East, Section 24, Boise Meridian, Valley and Idaho Counties, Idaho, and within the Krassel and McCall Ranger Districts, Payette National Forest.
Additionally, portions of two trails outside of the above described area are closed: National Forest System Trail #141(also known as the Willow Basket Trail) - from the end of the designated ATV section of trail at approximately Milepost 4.0 on NFS Trail #141 located in Township 22 North, Range 5 East, Section 32, then southeasterly approximately 3 miles to the junction with the NFS Trail #081 in Township 21 North, Range 5 East, Section 3.
National Forest System Trail #117(also known as the Victor Creek Trail) - from the saddle located at approximately Milepost 3.0 on NFS Trail #117 in Township 21 North, Range 4 East, Section 14, then northeasterly approximately 5 miles to the junction with the NFS Trail #081 in Township 21 North, Range 5 East, Section 3.
PURPOSE:
The area (including all roads and trails within the area) as described above has ongoing wildfire activity within its perimeter. The area is closed for public safety and protection from hazards associated with wildfire.
IMPLEMENTATION:
- This Order will be in effect when signed and shall remain in effect until further notice.
- A map identifying the closure area is attached and made part of this Order.
- Any violation of this prohibition is punishable by fine of not more than $5,000.00 for an individual, or $10,000.00 for an organization, and/or imprisonment for not more than six (6) months [Title 16 USC 551, Title 18 USC 3751 (b) (6), Title 18 USC 3581 (b)(7)].
