"Google Earth is a powerful platform for creating, exploring, and visualizing location-specific information"(Google Earth website).

It is also a free tool that can be used to see an overview of the Egley Complex. To download Google Earth, go to: http://earth.google.com/download-earth.html; select the appropriate settings for your computer; then click on the Download Google Earth Button. Answer the questions as they come up.
Once Google Earth is loaded on your computer, click on the related link included with this announcement. Save the file labeled NWCC POLY.kml to your computer. When you double click on the saved file, Google Earth should start loading the Egley Complex. To zoom closer on the map, click the mouse (there are navigation tools and a help option in the program).
This fire perimeter file provides a visual image of the fire location but is not designed to be used as an exact representation of the current fire location.
When finished viewing the fire, exit from Google Earth by selecting file, then exit. The system will notify you that you have unsaved items in your temporary places folder. It will offer an opportunity to save them. Choose "No". This will enable us to provide the most current maps available for you to view with Google Earth.
Note: Updated files, showing the perimeter of Egley fire for Google Earth, will have the same name and location.
