Firefighters and support personnel for the Cold Springs Fire have
traveled from the following states: Arizona, Pennsylvania, Minnesota,
New Mexico, Wisconsin, Florida, Alaska, Michigan, Colorado, Oregon,
Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Nevada. One of the assets
of the Incident Command System is the ability to summon personnel
quickly with approved qualifications. Upon arrival at an incident, whether
it be fire, flood, or other emergency, personnel have specific training.
The combination of expertise and a military command hierarchy
provides for maximum effeciency in disaster management.
