This fire was started by a severe lightning storm on August 1. The fire is burning in mixed conifer and whitebark pine with heavy dead and down including significant beetle kill. The fire is located at the base of Osborn Mountain northeast of Cora.

Minimal due to moisture received over fire area throughout the week.
Continue monitoring fire as needed based on moisture amounts and provide fire information to hikers of the Continental Divide Trail.
No closure in effect. Visitors are urged to use caution when hiking in the vicinity of the fire. Watch for falling snags and other hazards.
