The Green Ridge Fire, located northwest of Sisters, OR on the Deschutes National Forest, is 95% contained and remains at 1,510 acres. As of 08:00 a.m. tomorrow, August 13, the Emergency Closure in the area of the fire will be eased to include only the fire perimeter. Several Forest Roads travel thru the fire; no thru travel will be allowed on these roads. All other closures will be lifted allowing access and use of the following key areas:
- Forest Road 14
- The East Metolius Trail
- Lower Bridge Campground
- Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery
- Allen Springs Campground
- Pioneer Ford Campground
Personnel will slowly decrease over the next few days as mop-up and repair of suppression damage is accomplished. The fire will remain staffed throughout the week. Light smoke may still be visible in the Metolius Basin as fuels within the fire perimeter continue to burn.

Closure issued by Deschutes Forest Supervisor for Emergency Occupancy and Use restrictions on the Deschutes National forest, for certain trails and roads, specifically on the Sisters Ranger District. Posted to Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch website. Map included. Wizard Falls fish hatchery open again.
Mop-up, patrol, rehab and backhaul on all Divisions.
Concern is for current resources to time out, making it difficult to meet objectives. Fire is getting T2IA crew tomorrow. Most resources remained in place today.
