The fire started at approximately 5:30 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2013 between Branch Mountain and California Valley. The fire is in a very difficult to reach area. 515 acres have burned. Six air tankers, an air attack and 4 helicopters provided aerial attack during initial attack and surrounded approximately 50 of the fire with retardant and water drops. Helicopters are currently being used to fight the fire as well as slinging supplies to crews. The fire was fully contained on June 4, 2013 by 6:00 pm. The incident has transitioned from a type 3 organization to a type 4 organiztion and mop up of the fire area continues. There are currently 40 resources assigned to the fire.
