The Lake Incident is located off Interstate 5 at the Lakehead Exit (Exit #702). Engines, crews, and air attack units were involved in an aggressive initial attack that was very successful. The fire is now 100% contained and the incident should be put into patrol status at the end of shift today (10-4-12).
All roads in the area have been reopend. However, fire crews continue mop-up and PG&E crews are also in the area working to replace poles. Motorists are advised to drive with caution.

The fire is smoldering within the containment area.
Crews worked overnight, 10-3-12, to monitor some pockets of active fire within the containment area. Most fuels have now been exhausted and the containment line is secure.
All roads in the area are now open. Pg&E will have crews in the area on 10-4-12 working to replace poles. Motorists are advised to drive with caution throughout the area. By the end of shift on 10-4-12, the fire should be put in patrol status.
